First-year students (regardless of credit hours) and transfer students classified as first-year students upon acceptance by Admissions, who live in campus housing, are required to purchase a College of Charleston First-Year Student Resident Meal Plan for the academic year.

Upperclass students and commuters who would like to purchase a meal plan can choose from eight Upperclass Student Resident and Commuter Meal Plans.

Agreement to the Terms and Conditions for Meal Plans is part of the sign-up process.

Meals are valid for one semester only and do not carry over. Unused Dining Dollars do carry over each semester until the student graduates or separates from the College. Follow these instructions to request a refund upon a qualifying event.

A student will be released from the meal plan if a complete withdrawal, leave of absence or transfer to another institution is completed with the Center for Academic Performance and Persistence or if the student withdraws from all classes by the stated deadline for withdrawal with a grade of “W” as posted on the academic calendar for the semester. Students are responsible for contacting Campus Services HQ, campusservices@cofc.edu to request a refund.
